Why it works
A trap running 8 hours/day (dawn-dusk peak hours) instead of 24 hours uses roughly one-third the CO₂. A 22 lb tank that lasts ~20 days continuous can last up to 60 days on an 8-hour schedule — with minimal impact on overall catch rates.
A single timer can control CO₂ flow to up to 5 BG-Mosquitaire traps simultaneously via a shared regulator. Ideal for multi-trap systems or expanded zone coverage.
Runs on a single 9V battery (not included) with approximately 9 months of battery life. No wiring, no electrical work. Weather-resistant for outdoor installation.
Set custom on/off intervals to match the peak mosquito activity pattern on your property. Dawn and dusk are typically the highest-catch windows.

Frequently asked
Will running on a schedule reduce how many mosquitoes I catch? +
Minimally. Mosquitoes are least active between midnight and 6am. Turning the trap off during that window sacrifices very few catches while dramatically extending CO₂ life. In field use, customers report no noticeable difference in outcome with the timer running an 8-hour schedule.
Is this compatible with the Mosqitter Grand? +
The Mosqitter Grand has built-in scheduling via its Bluetooth app and does not require an external timer.
How does it connect to the trap? +
The timer installs inline on the CO₂ line between your regulator and trap. No tools required. Two ports accept standard CO₂ tubing. Review the polarity diagram in the manual before installing the battery — incorrect polarity can damage the unit.
